Aging matters for women, especially for female celebrities. Some turn to drastic measures to stay young and pretty. However, these 19 female celebrities show that it is possible to look beautiful and elegant even as they get older.
1. RENE RUSSO - 61
Rene Russo is 61, really. Yet she could probably convince someone she's still in her 30s. Whatever she's doing she needs to figure out a way to let everyone else in on the secret, because we think she's found the Fountain of Youth, and she's keeping it to herself.
2. ELLEN DEGENERES - 57
Few people who watch ElIen would imagine that she is 57. Her show is so much fun and so full of life that it is easy to see her in her 30s or even her 20s. It is obvious that her mentality and her personality keep her young. She loves life, she loves helping people and she just loves being happy.
3. JANE FONDA - 77
While she may have had a controversial past, there are few who could claim that she doesn't look great for a woman of 77. She looks fit and youthful, not to mention still beautiful. She has had plastic surgery but tastefully done, and it was a decision she came to after a great deal of thought. She has also learned to live in moderation and enjoy life, as opposed to falling victim to bulimia and excessive exercise. Happiness and health look good on her.
4. RAQUEL WELCH - 74
Raquel Welch looks good - almost too good. There's no denying that she must have had something done, be it Botox or plastic surgery, because no one looks this good at 74. However, there is something to be said about doing just enough plastic surgery to feel confident and beautiful, without looking like you are 70 trying to be 30.
5. CHRISTIE BRINKLEY -61
Full disclosure here, it was hard not to hate Christie Brinkley when she was in her prime and one of the most beautiful women in the world. Now it's really hard not to hate her because she still looks unbelievably gorgeous at the ripe old age of 61! She even swears she's had nothing done (though she's not opposed to the idea), but you can be the judge as to whether her look at 61 is natural.
6. HELEN MIRREN - 69
At 69, Helen Mirren looks fantastic. She looks even more amazing when you consider the fact that she hasn't had any plastic surgery. She is open to the idea though, saying that it is likely that she will go under the knife very soon. She claims she's starting to see her age and may get some minor surgery done. Not sure what she's seeing to complain about, she still looks stunning.
7. GEENA DAVIS - 58
Here's the deal, Beetlejuice wasn't just a movie. After all there's no way that Geena Davis could look exactly the same now at 58 as she did in Beetlejuice. So she's really just a ghost still playing as an actor, with a few small wrinkles thrown in for show. Really, that's got to be what happened, because she looks great for 58 and there haven't been many rumors about her getting work done.
8. SIGOURNEY WEAVER - 65
There is little doubt that Sigourney still looks great for being 65, and much like Mater from Cars, she doesn't try to cover up those laugh lines because she's "earned them." She also says that surgery is not for her. That even though we all probably want to see perfect people we also want to see people that look like us. So her secret to looking young is just skin care and exercise.
9. SUSAN LUCCI - 68
At 68, Susan could probably still convince people she's only in her 40s. Granted, a great deal of this can be attributed to some Botox and a few other interventions. But even so, she's managed to find a way to do whatever she's doing, very well. It doesn't wreck her face and with the exception of looking younger than her age, she still looks very natural.
10. KIM CATTRALL - 60
Kim Cattrall is most known for her role in Sex and the City, but that doesn't mean she wants to look that way for the rest of her life. She is embracing aging and says that she considers 60 to still be young and that she doesn't feel like she looks 60. When a magazine asked if she wanted her wrinkles retouched for the photo shoot, she told them to "F**k it, leave it all in." That's one woman who's not afraid of aging.
11. EMMA THOMPSON - 56
Emma Thompson says she's not about "fiddling" with herself. She has no desire to try and look 30 when she's 60, and she just wants to age naturally. With that attitude, it's no wonder that she still looks great even at 56, and yet you can still clearly see on her face that she has lived her life. There's something just as beautiful in those lines as there is in a smooth, youthful face.

Julianne Moore definitely shows how one can look older but still be elegant and beautiful. She doesn't believe in Botox for herself, though she has no problem with others doing it. She doesn't need to worry about Botox anyway; she looks great for a woman of 54, and her ability to embrace her age and looks is the definition of aging gracefully.

She's 56, and if we're being honest, she looks it. However, aging gracefully is not just about looking young longer than most people, it's about still being beautiful even as you age. Jamie Lee Curtis has bared her entire body and won't Photoshop her images in order to embrace the changes that come with age. While she admits it wasn't easy at first, she does feel more authentic now and accepts her age.

Sharon Stone is timeless and beautiful. It really looks like she hasn't aged in years and it's more likely than not that she's had help to look that way. Despite the fact that she's gotten some help to stay young, she still leaves a few wrinkles and keeps her face looking natural. She knows she's 56 and can't try and look 20, but she can still be beautiful at 56.

Andie MacDowell may be 56, but she has a way of drawing people to her unique beauty. She can stand next to younger women on the red carpet and yet she's the one you want to talk to. It could be her smile, her personality or just wanting to learn more about her amazing career. Whatever it is, it's working for her, and she looks great no matter how many wrinkles she gets.

At 64, no one can say that Meryl Streep still looks young. However, it is her smile that lights up her face which makes her beautiful at any age. The 56 year old finds something liberating about getting older. She says that since everyone knows she's 57, she doesn't have to worry about trying to look like she's not 57. She has definitely embraced her age and realizes it's time to stop trying to look like a young woman, because she's not one anymore. At 93, Betty White still looks fantastic. She still moves, laughs and acts just as she has done her entire life, and that seems to be what is keeping her young. She personally says she has never thought much about her age. She learned even as a child that your age was not important, it was all about where your head was. Her head is obviously still her in 30's.
19. ANGELA BASSETT - 56
Angela Bassett is 56 and doesn't look like she has changed much. It hasn't been confirmed whether or not she has any work done, which is a testament to how natural she looks. With few wrinkles to be seen and the same flawless skin, there are few people who would guess that she is nearing 60. She truly looks as if she stopped aging at 40.
