In September 1995, Thompson and Branagh announced they had separated; their statement to the press blamed their work schedules, but it later emerged that he had fallen in love with actress Helena Bonham Carter.

The couple announced their engagement in May 2008, and filed for divorce in December, 2010. Scarlett later hinted that her marriage to Ryan Reynolds have been quite competitive because they are both actors.

In 1993, Basinger was in the news for allegedly backing out of a contract to star in the movie Boxing Helena, and her boyfriend Baldwin showed up in all the articles by her side. That’s a little dark, but on a happier note, they also married that same year.

The actors cited irreconcilable differences when filing for divorce after only one year of marriage. Hey, at least you can always see them together on returns of Mad About You.
